My second novel is on the way! 7/14/2014 6:05:59 PM
I admit I accomplished one of my "bucket list" dreams with the publication of my first novel in June of this year. I wrote "Lustful Consequences" during the summer of 2013. I spent the better part of the Fall of 2013 self editing and re-editing the work. I changed some of the story line during these self edits and even changed the title once.
I emailed the novel out to so many publishers, I had to keep a running log as to who I had emailed a copy. Rejection, rejection, rejection became my everyday response back from most publishers...or no response back at all.
When I had just about given up all hope, I got a positive response back in February 2014 from one publisher - Club Lighthouse Publishing. I had earlier emailed them the first 3 chapters of my novel for their review. They wanted to review the entire novel! I emailed them the novel and in April 2014 CLP emailed me back and advised me they wanted to publish my novel! And as they say, "the rest is history" or at least I hope I make history!
On June 30, 2014, my first novel "Lustful Consequences" was published. Initial sales have been good and I hope the novel continues to sell.
But I've learned never to rest on your laurels! One successful publication of a novel does not make a successful novelist. So, I have have started my second novel. I have almost three chapters completed and I hope to have it finished by this Fall at the latest.
