Blogs by David Ravenwood Punishing High School Football Players for Taking Out the Referee 9/13/2015 10:46:21 AMThe video of two high school football players knocking down a referee was disgusting. What made it worse was how hard they hit him. And hitting him from behind made it an act of cowardice. The boys claim the ref used racial slurs. If he did then I think he should lose his job and never be allowed to referee another game for the rest of his life. No one should use racial slurs, but a referee especially, is supposed to be fair an impartial. What kind of message does a ref send to impressionable kids when they talk to them like that?
