I start this blog with a few questions: what constitutes winning when coaching an athletic team? What distinguishes the top teams from the average or bottom teams in term of their league/seasonal records? Are coaches only praised when their team records indicate a winning season? Does a poor record mean a bad job of coaching? And, the ultimate question becomes, what defines good coaching? I hope in these blog entries, to try to answer these and other questions through research including interviews of local,district and national coaches players and parents. Stay tuned, I'm not sure where this endeavor will lead.

I have been soliciting input from the members of our Author's Den. To this day, I've had no response, which would make me think that our group did not have involvement coaching or haven't got around to responding to my call. If that's the case, I sure would appreciate your input!
