I'll have to check out your book. So, you write, huh? I'll have to check out your book.
Do you believe them? Maybe. Maybe not. Sure, people get busy, but there are certain people who you can just tell are not going to look for your book. I'm not knocking them, but as a writer, it does get frustrating. Especially when you depend on them to potentially buy it. Writers, for the most part, put their heart and soul into their work. They spend hundreds, if not thousands of hours writing, editing, revising, hoping, dreaming, planning, plotting and scheming to create the perfect story, all in the hopes that people will love it and read it and even dare we say, share it with others? So please, if you really do intend to check it out and read it, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts! You have made our day. And for those few who are just trying to be polite, please, check it out. You might find a wonderful story waiting for you to enjoy. If not, no big deal. Thank you anyway. We appreciate you at least not saying something horrible like, reading? Yuk! Ain't got no time for reading! All joking aside, we're tough, we can roll like that. We'll just go home and cry into our coffee/beer/wineglass and hope the next one might be the one.
