This is a story about a little girl who is trying to decide what she wants to be when she grows up. She has 10 choices but still can't decide. Should she be a nurse or maybe a teacher or even an astronaut. Maybe you can help her. Hi, it’s Cefa again.
Today I’m going to tell you a story about a little girl named Elliotte. She lives in Australia, a country that is a long way away from the United States. The name of the story is “When I Grow Up.”
Elliotte loves to day-dream. She is always thinking about what she wants to be when she gets older.
One day she dreams that she is an Astronaut flying around in a fancy space ship.
Another day she dreams she is a ballet dancer and is dancing in a grand hall for all the royalty in the world.
Then, another day she dreams about being a teacher. She teaches all the children in her class to read. And, she is using my adventures as her reader.
There are so many choices for Elliotte to make. Will she become one of these careers or will she become something else? What about a baker, or a scientist or even a rock star?
Read “When I Grow Up” and see all of Elliotte’s choices. See if you can decide what she wants to be when she grows up.
