Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a very nice Easter holiday. I had a lot of fun and met some very interesting new friends. Today I am going to introduce you to some of them.
I want you to meet Harry the Hound dog and Capers the very talkative orange cat. Capers talks and talks and talks and Harry just listens.
Capers also likes to jump and run and twist and turn. He is a very active cat and loves to show off all of the tricks he knows. Harry is a very patient hound and he let Capers “do his thing”.
Capers has other friends that live nearby. There is Fearless an important duck who worked at the fire department and there is Scampers the squirrel who spends most of his time in a very big tree.
Harry and Capers wander through the woods and come across Capers favorite tree. He is telling Harry how cats are very good at climbing trees and Harry agrees.
Capers then decides to show Harry just how good he is. He climbs and climbs his favorite tree. He meet Scampers the squirrel on his way up. Scampers reminds Capers that he might be good at going up but he still has to come back down.
Now that Capers made his way up the big tree what do you think happens? Do you think he is nimble enough to make his way back down? Do you think something else happens while Capers is in the tree? You will have to read the story of Capers and Harry: High Climbing to find out.
Capers and Harry: High Climbing is a charming and amusing story about two very good friends and how they help each other. Even the other animals in the story want to work together to help when one of them finds himself having problems.
I love the way Capers is so enthusiastic and active. He loves himself and he loves everything and everyone around him. You can see this in his excitement. Harry is the right partner for Capers. He is very mellow and seems to balance Capers energy.
The illustrations are very life-like and authentic. Capers and Harry jump off the page and you feel as if you can reach out and touch them. Their facial expressions are remarkable.
I think Capers and Harry: High Climbing would make a great addition to your child's reading library and there are other books to follow.
