What A Day That Was Yesterday! 5/25/2019 6:25:17 PM
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone! Gosh! I've spent more than 7 hours in the hospital yesterday, but that was considered fast already. Some people had to wait for 12 hours! - Thanks to Trudeau for letting every Tom, Dick, and Henry into the country!!!! Now our hospitals look like a marketplace! I say, if you're not really sick don't step into the hospital for you'll never know what disease you might catch just for being there.
My stomach has been hurting for many days, so finally, I had decided to go to the hospital yesterday. They drew 4 tubes of my blood from me, and then I waited for about 2 hours. Finally, a little Chinese doctor came to see me, and she ordered an ultrasound test for me. Then, I was surprised to find that the ultrasound test was performed by a male technician. Oh, no!!!! I had to let a man do my ultrasound for me and see my naked belly!!! Oh, I was in so much pain I didn't give a damn anymore if the technician was a man or a woman, I would just treat him as one of the doctors anyway.
After the test I waited for another several hours, a nurse came to me and said the doctor has ordered a drink for me for my heartburn and gas pain. I said that's not what I'm having. I told her I had a busted stomach lining before, and I think this is what it is this time too. I told her I needed the same pill that was prescribed for me before by that other doctor who saw me because that pill worked for me - A tiny pill I was supposed to take for a month to mend the stomach lining. The nurse said the pink liquid would at least take my pain away. "Okay, then!" - I thought. I looked at the pink liquid stuff. It looked disgusting to me already.
I drank it down anyway and it tasted disgusting just as I thought it would. After a while, it numbed my pain, and I did feel a little bit better.
I waited for another couple of hours. The little Chinese doctor came back to see me and I told her I felt a little bit better already. She prescribed the same little pill for me to mend my stomach. I have not bought the pills yet since the drug store was closed by the time I came out of the hospital. I may go to get it today since it is not an emergency anymore now that my tummy is not in pain. I stepped into the washroom this morning and... lo and behold!!!!... When I look at myself in front of my bathroom mirror, my stomach is now as flat as can be already!!! All that swelling is gone!!! That must have been the effect from that tiny dose of pink liquid that I've drunk from the hospital. I ran my fingers underneath my ribcage and found the swelling is gone. That bump I felt for the past few days is no longer there!!! So, I'm assuming that the doctor may be right, it was gas and heartburn after all!!!! I have not had such severe heartburn and gas problem before in my life, this is the first time ever! But I think, for safety sake, I might as well just go ahead and buy the prescription anyway, just in case I might have a little tear on the stomach lining. It won't hurt to take that for the next two weeks anyway.
Oh, I went to bed last night and slept like a baby for the first time in a week!
