When a physician is under pressure to see x number of patients in a limited time period, the doctor - patient relationship is sacrificed. The doctor's hurry, lack of eye contact due to the 'data entry' on a 'tablet' and often cutting short of a conversation is sensed by the patient who feels shortchanged. Explanations of diagnosis and treatment by a doctor cannot be substituted by a sheet of paper. The whole encounter lacks the human touch so important between the afflicted and the healer.
