Between the steps to process apples, I was overjoyed to learn that my fantasy novel, Find the Girl, A Fantasy Novel reached one hundred and fifty three (153) days as the most popular on authorsden.com.

After last year's terrible spring where a late frost attacked the apple blossoms, it was nice to see nature return to bountiful this year. My apple tree (variety unknown, but it is similar to Granny Smith) fought this year's drought to fill its branches, minus one, with apples.  The "minus one" was the result of a storm that felled an entire branch.

Now the work to process begins. I peel and core, then slice into bits best seen in apple crisp, par-boil in sugar water, vacuum seal and freeze for later use. Expect the yummies today.
