Mountains in the Bible are used whenever something really important happens. MOUNT UP! (JUST A FEW EXAMPLES)
1. Mt. Zion is where God’s temple is located.
2. Mt. Sinai is where the Law was given.
3. Mt. Tabor is where Christ was Transfigured.
THE MOUNTAIN COMES TO MOHAMED (AND EVERYONE ELSE)
Mt. Carmel gets short shrifted in history.
1. Fossil evidence from Mt. Carmel provides the oldest known Homo Sapiens bones. Thus it connects to Genesis.
2. The oldest known Christian monastery remains are there, amazingly dating from before the time of Jesus.
3. Some theologians posit that Mary was transported there for the Annunciation.
PREPARE TO BE CARMELIZED
1. Mt. Carmel is known most famously for the contest between Elijah and the priests of Baal. The Baal priests were unable to bring fire down from the sky to burn up the offerings. Elijah of course made it happen, even after having the offerings soaked with water.
2. Most have heard of the Chicago fire of 1871. Most don’t know of the even larger fire of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, north of Chicago, on the same day. The fire was other worldly (arguably cometary material). Jumping into the water wouldn’t save you, it boiled! The only approved Marion apparition in the US is Our Lady of (Good Hope) (Champion) Green Bay. The chapel built at the instruction of Mary, protected the occupants as the predicted fire totally surrounded them.
3. A Japanese monastery near ground zero for the atom bomb drop, was spared along with its occupants, who were praying the Holy Rosary, and they never even got sickened (including no cancers). A harbinger of 3 days of darkness.
4. Mary appeared at Garabandal as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
5. The predicted Chastisement start date, October 3, is bookended by the feast days of two Carmelite nuns, who are both Doctors of the Church. October 1 is St. Theresa of Avila. October 15 is St. Therese of Lisieux.
THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME
I recently investigated a “song stuck in my head”.
1. Written by the band called YES (Mary’s Fiat connection?)
2. Band members say the song is about relationships, but the specific lyric stuck in my head is claimed to be about the relationship of God and Man.
3. I have argued that time doesn’t really exist (See caveat #2 in article titled The Mayan Calendar Made Me Catholic.)
“Cause it’s time, it’s time, in time, with your time, and it’s news… is captured …for the Queen to use…
Diddit, Diddit, Diddit, Diddit, Diddit, Diddit, Diddit… Didda”
And of course there is supreme irony in the title line of:
“I’ve seen all good people turn their heads each day, so satisfied, I’m on my way.”
All I can say at this point is…
Hail, Mary
Full of Grace, the Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners,
Now, and at the hour of our death.
