"Bible Death Sentence..."

The public referenda, when and if taken, will show that a bit over the majority still believe in the death penalty in the US and UK. That's because these 2 countries, as Australia, still have large numbers of Protestant citizens. Almost all of the "Catholic" countries (I live in one) disallow the death penalty. The 10 Commandments are also found in the Old Testament, one of which says Thou Shalt Not Kill- there are no ifs, ands or buts following the statement. So, as many of us know, we can practically justify whatever we want to by using parts of the Bible- the parts convenient to us.
