I like this. It contains the dichotomy of colossal vs. minuscule and rolls them into just the right length pant-legs. Having worked years with senior senior citizens, I witnessed fewer stories about tumultuous events and societal memories, more about personal flickers. Who was president in 1984 defers to the name of a junior high choir teacher. It is as though the simple moments rise to the top of the dumpling stew, while the heavy meat sits on the bottom, with frail appetite only able to skim the top for the little visible bobbles of joy. I look forward to reading more of your entries. The things good reads are made of, they are. ~~ Diana
