Neither of you love it more than I do. And I agree, we should work for change. The first step is to recognize and speak up about the wrongs we see and experience. I don't consider that to be merely complaining. Too much apathy is perhaps the cause of many of our ills today and that is what we all should fight against.

This was a moving article, and one that I read with pride! Thank you. This is the voice that should be heard more often...more loudly...more proudly...than the one we are hearing too often..the negative one...the beaten one..the frustrated one...Like Fee says..each patriot must love HIS/HER country...and I love mine as passionately as you do yours... Great article Leysa, and although as I am a Canadian and would say that America is the second greatest nation in the world, lol, I am glad we have our cousins to the South as allies. You made great points and views in this one and they can be applied to all countries of the world. If you chose to call a country your home no matter where you are from, respect, honour and love it. |
