mY muse, at least within the context f my work is a big red mule named 'Red"...REd is a male. "Hence the masculine pronoun affixed to the muse."See "Poet and Red Mule" and "poet and Red Mule II" also any of the "Into Keewatin" poems,

Red is he perfect equine he is quite content to graze in the big pasture on my hard drive when we,e not working.

It is interesting to me, you refer to him instead of her. I don't know why but I always thought of a muse as a she? Maybe, that is because I am a she, too. I think muses are much like little girls, they like sugar and spice, and everything nice. Winged
