Thank you. I guess I am fired up lately. I can hardly believe what I'm hearing and what direction things are going, it is truly frightening. It drives me extra crazy when I hear religion and morality pulled into all of this. I heard Michael Moore pull that one - quoting the bible in his argument for wealth-sharing. What in the world does any kind of charitable giving have to do with the government? What about separation of church and state? Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, I think is what it says in the bible. What business does/would the government have to be moralizing about what anyone does with their money - and yet - they are starting to. "Here, let me help you into heaven, I'll just be taking that pesky paycheck off your hands... let me save you from yourself..." Argh. Insanity.

Very well written, Lisa. And you are right on. Socialism does not bring the downtrodden up, it brings the the productive people down, and soon their is no one left to support anyone. Every Socialist Country, Kingdom, City State, or whatever has eventually either been conquered or brought into such chaos that only the strong survive...And this is where we are heading! |
