It is more that sad, in fact it is almost sacriligious that the old customs and ceremonies that honor the memories of those who gave so much are being diluted so easily. It is not only in your country my friend. Here in Canada when you entered a legion you were to remove all headgear to honour and show respect for fallen comrades. Then they passed the law that certain individual religious sects did not have to remove their head dress. Sad. |
