Processing disorders can co-exist with ADHD. I guess sometimes its hard to figure out if its that or just distraction issues affecting comprehension. Imagine being at a Phillies game and being interviewed by two aspiring broadcasters from Temple about the Phillies prospects...and you have just been announced as someone who knows all the stats..The question happens...and you cant get it!! words too fast, too much distraction..so instead of answering in the way you are capable, you simply state, " I dont know."...That happened to my 13 year old son...and he was too embarrased to ask for a repeat!! Imagine what happens sometimes to these kids in a classroom!!! Schools need to understand this...
