Christine, I agree with all you wrote.
Life is more then what is here on Earth. I believe when we die we learn of all the mysteries of life...A very enjoyable and learnable write.

,,,yesterday I went to see my Aunt Flossie for the last time..she is my Mom's eldest sister and soon to be 102.if she makes it..her bday is Aug 1st..I know her journey is just to begin..the Drs give her 2 months..what a life she is leaving for us, but entering an eternity~ Your poem gives me peace..ty

you are so deep and so thought-full in a logical way and I treasure this topic and can think or talk for hours on it. I do believe we will all know everything in our time of crossing over and there are so many glimpses of the truth available to us now if we only open the mind and heart to the possibilities. As our friend Rumi says, we need to sell our cleverness and purchase bewilderment....

This is precious. It is searching, and more importantly it is YOU.

The question we, as humans ask ourselves has, in my opinion, kept us from remaining knuckle-dragging Neanderthals. Man has asked the "why are we here" question in so many different ways, and some maintain they have discovered the why. There are diverse religions who have prospered and bled the poor peons for their last centavos for a blessing and a promise.

I, too, have searched within my own mind for clues of the where, what, when and how of us. I was raised in the protestant faith and all I remember thinking as I was a young lad listening to the preacher who preached for two months on whores and harlots that he was insane. I'm even watching the three movies called "Left Behind" about the antichrist and the apocalypse. I watched the first one yesterday and will catch the second one today.

I've walked the bad streets, unafraid, not because I had God with me, but because I, like that preacher, was insane. But I worked myself out of that environment and the old thoughts returned, (they'd never really left) is there a God? If so why does He allow young, innocent children to suffer and be abused? I've never found an answer to that, and until I find the answer to why St, Jude Hospital has to even be created for the children, for they are innocent and God is supposed to love children, I will have to deny Him.

Christine, I'm sorry to write my thoughts of God on your blog, because it is mostly about your dear mother and I do not want to do harm in anyyway to her memory. but the blog was also about God. I have just said, basically, how I feel. I know you are going through much pain these days. I say to you, God bless you, and I don't think for one second that is hypocritical on my part.

I believe there's more than this earthly existence too, Christine...and I'm certain I'll see my parents again, and indeed all of the loved ones I've lost over the years. Your Mom is always with you, little one!

Wow this is the first time I read your blog, Christine. I can truthfully say I agree with most of the blog,except I think and know there is a Supreme Being that created us. I am totaly interested in your thoughts.
