This is interesting. I think perhaps the neuronal mapping of my adult dog, might mimic some of the ways that human babies learn languages. Circumstantial evidence maybe, but my late dog Crystal, a toy poodle, responded to, "do you love me?" and "give me some sugar," With a leap into my lap and a face full of enthusiastic licking. Could there be similarities in the mature cerebral cortex of an adult poodle, and the yet growing brain of a baby? I enjoyed your blog very much. Thanks for making me think. Rockie
