Hi, Lisa.
Sorry that you're having a problem with Authors Den people. It does take time for us to get to know you and the only way this happens is through writing. Poems will get the most people commenting to you. We all, or most of us (I know I did)join thinking people will immediately begin to read and comment and, yes, if there is one, to purchase our books, but it reality it doesn't happen that way.
Don't give up. Submit some stuff. Try a poem. I found that I can do fairly well with free verse.
