Just recently a 4th Vet - this year - at the Dallas Veterans Hospital committed suicide. Some changes need to be made *within* our Vet Hospitals!
I like Tom's suggestion to house our homeless vets...WITH outpatient facilities and competent medical staff!
WHERE is our loyalty and commitment to our Veterans??

Gee, here's a thought - there are Military Bases all over this country, and many with vacant old barracks, even hospitals and PX's, why in hell can't these vets be put up THERE?
Short term, long term, around their own kind of people, and familiar settings, and already established SERVICES!
Just watched a PBS Special about CARVILLE, LA.'s
LEPROSY COLONY - the biggest & BEST ever in the WORLD, right here in the US of A - A SUCCESS - funded and staffed by the government, and yet I never heard of it til I was 67 !!!
THEY CAN DO RIGHT - WHEN 'THEY' WANT TO !!!
