I think this would be great! In years past Kentucky offered displaces miners the opportunity to return to school. Their tuition was a paid for two years, and they were given the opportunity to receive additional funding throug student loans. The men were taught skills, such as computer skills, plumbing, carpentry and much more. My husband learned how to work a PC in this program and also increased his knowledge of plumbing and earned two certificates that helped him obtain the position at the company where he works now. For those men who did not have a high school diploma, they were able to earn their GED...all through grants and the help from those that kept pushing and didn't give up on the cause...much like yourself! I hope this works out, it is necessary. Great informative blog!
