Good reminder, Ed. My father served on the carrier, Enterprise, in the South Pacific. Through authorsden, I have gotten him to record some of his memories of the battles -- he was just a kid. Eileen

Too soon we will hear of our last WWII veteran dying; a sad day that will be.
As proven with our Nam veterans, it is SO important to let ALL our Veterans know how much they are loved and appreciated; this just may be the difference between longevity.

Is it being "lucky" to survive Omaha Beach in 44? or Inchon in Korea? or three tours in Nam? when you haven't got nightmares because of war events but because your fellow brothers and sisters veterans are dying everyday of that pestilent forgetfulness from all the GOP?
