Broken promises, kept once again - shame!

I'm a Vietnam vet and lived through combat in 1966, Chu Lai, Vietnam.
We can't rely on the government to take care of us. Do you really trust the government to do what is right even if the courts told them too?
We need to take care of ourselves first. There are nonprofit groups out there willing to help. When I first started going to the VA about a year ago because I didn't know I was covered before talking to a retired navy medic (also a combat veteran), I took advantage of the counseling to deal with my PTSD related anger and paid the copay which I'm still doing as I wait for the VA to decide how I'm going to be part of the system. I'm in my 3rd marriage. I still suffer from PTSD. I still have weapons all over the house.
That's when I found about nonprofit Veterans groups that offer support sort of like these recorving drug groups that sort of work like Alcoholics Anonmous.
I'm dealing with my PTSD with more copying skills than I had before joining the VA.
We won't see meaningful changes until Congress is once again mostly made up of veterans. Fat chance of that happening. Terry
