How quick some are to criticize President Obama. This report from 10/29/09: On a clear autumn evening, President Obama flew by Marine One helicopter to Dover Air Force Base to greet the flag-draped cases of 15 American Soldiers killed in action.
After landing, the president, wearing a dark topcoat, joined a motorcade heading for a base chapel, where he met privately with families of the fallen Americans. He had arrived on the base at 12:34 a.m. Thursday and returned to the White House before dawn.
President Obama took part in a solemn process that unfolded in four movements: the transfer of the fallen 15 soldiers from the back of the C-17 to a transport vehicle to a base mortuary.
As part of the official delegation, President Obama went on the plane, each time witnessing silently as a chaplain said a prayer for the fallen, the family, the country and the war effort.
GW Bush (who started the wars) never made such a visit during his entire Presidency! Very few Presidents have. Most don't want to be witness to the ultimate sacrifice that is paid by our brave service men & women, which is the result of the President's decision to place them in harm's way.

I like your idea, Ed. The U.S. President should visit a different National Cemetary every Memorial Day in order to honour all those who served our country and died for it.
Maybe it was thought that soldiers buried in Arlington were better soldiers by the same jerks that Daddy got off from duty.
I think it will be a good tradition to go every year to a different place to honor ALL the soldiers, not only the one in DC.
