Dearest Alexandra:
Your spiritual resilience in the face of family crises is so admirable. We came to sentience with the certain knowledge that we will someday lose it. In the meantime, our material happiness will ebb and flow with the vicissitudes of life. Sentience itself is the greatest of material and spiritual gifts that we enjoy. Imagine for a moment the uncountable numbers of potential human beings who never found circumstance to burst into this wonderful state and voila -- perspective is ours!

I am sure that Joseph love is the iron rod that keep you up, and the rest of your family, and friends, and neighbors, and colleagues, yet...knowing all that, I wished to be there to add to theirs my little support.

Alexandra, You are a remarkable woman. Yes I like this way of thinking. Too many people let the negative things that happen to them take over and destroy their lives. It is very important to always find the good in situations and in people. I have always lived my life in this manner, and plan to do so till I move onto another stage of existence..

My daughter Kaye has rheumatoid arthritis a very painful disease at age 39. She walks very poorly but still goes and stands on her job each day. Positive angle.
The vast earthquakes, tornadoes are making people leave their homes. Positive angle, they have help and get to know their neighbors and have much support and can rebuild again. It brings everyone closer in a crises and this is from God too helping them realize things can be made new through Faith. The Good Lord said I will not give you more than you can bear. Sometimes we think he is wrong, but after thinking over the situation we do realize he is right. We bear our burdens till he takes them from us in his own time.

Warm and wise words from a wise author. It's true, as cheated as we may feel from the material angle, the essence is to meet the challenge, to DESIRE to go forward and continue with life. To once again not only realize we can experience happiness but that we will no matter who or what pose as obstacles!

Alexandra I loved what you said here, and I go about my life much the same. Last year when my husband had a stroke boy was that a curve ball! Since it's the two of us I realized fast there is "no crying" in the hospital among doctors and you have to be strong and stay focused. I can't tell you how hard that was for me... and for us. Today he is just a miracle before my eyes and it feels like that was all a dream. I thank god every day and the angels that brought me through it. I just wanted to share.
