"Marriages are Made in India"

Marriages are Made in India was a print book to begin with. It was first published by Writers Workshop, Kolkata in 2001. The publisher and poet, P. Lal, told me that the strength of the book and the chances of my becoming a literary author depended on whether another publisher would agree to publish the book and whether another fiction work of mine would be published after this. His first condition, or rather his second, was fulfilled in 2009, when my first novel, The Tailor’s Needle, was published in the UK by Picnic Publishing Ltd. The second was fulfilled when Marriages are Made in India was published a second time in the USA, this May, by Publerati.com as an e-book. Though the distinguished P. Lal is no more, his words still ring in my ears.
