A good and fair assessment of Trump and of the political situation. Although I have been accused of being a "bleeding" liberal all my life, I recently took an assessment that places me squarely and thoroughly libertarian.
Yes, Donald does seem to be a good father and grandfather in spite of his busy business activity. What bothers me is that his children seem to be working for him and not going out on their own. You didn't mention the Clinton daughter, Chelsea. She is a Stanford graduate and well thought of. Has stood by her mother and father in spite of her dad's philandering.
I don't like dynasties, they remind me of royal families. They also seem to be based on riches. Presidents don't come from log cabins anymore… Except, perhaps Hillary. She has certainly made a lot of mistakes that could carry over into a presidency, but many of the concerns about her seem to be similar to those for JFK being Irish and Catholic.
With the gap between the rich and everybody else moving us towards a two-tier society like much of the world, and jobs disappearing because of outsourcing and continual use of technology, I'm all for the government providing programs that would fund writers, musicians, artists, etc., as long as they were productive and not destructive… In other words, earned their pay with their works.
Contrary to what all politicians say, the richest do not create jobs. They manipulate money to make money. Government projects and government jobs are jobs that are needed for everyone (interstate highways). Charities are very specific with their charity. They don't help everyone, just their pet projects. For example, the ice bucket thing has helped ALS research immensely. Since Christopher Reeve died, interest in spinal cord injury research has dropped off.
