I think your daughter fortunate to have an old man who doesn't give a f**k sometimes. It is natural for sons to challenge their fathers. It is part of growing up and leaving the nest. Your father didn't want to face that. Why some young men in my town were sent off to academies like Campion by wealthy fathers who didn't want to face a challenge (or an embarrassment) from their sons. I stayed home and gave my father some grief but mostly stuff that he was able to brag about later.

Anyway, I think your daughter will be a very strong young woman with her cross cultural background and a highly literate father that taught her more than just how to be a woman in the 21st century. She will always be "daddy's little girl," even after she's left the nest of her birth and conquered the world.
