Too damn many injuries. I discovered my spinal cord problem in one hit during sophomore football practice in high school. Quit while I was ahead. Recent studies have proven that multiple concussions received by football players have greatly affected their lives after football. Sure it's a rough sport. But unnecessary roughness is usually fueled by adrenaline and anger. I was taught in sports to be a good sport. But some fans like to see blood and guts and opponents get injured and out of the game.
I'm with the refs. I can tolerate the delays in the game. They are doing a good job and keeping the game clean.
