"OF FOOD, AND LOVE, AND LOVING FOOD"

This is a very nice blog. Same deal here, different nationality (Italian). I've hit an impasse. Suffering with gout for the last 22 years my doctor read me the riot act."You must stop living to eat, and start eating to live or you will wind up in a wheelchair." I have, for the most part stopped living to eat, and there isn't a day goes by that I'm not sorry about it. I still cook as I'm living to eat, but only for my wife. I now must forgo the crabs, clams, lobster and shrimp. (I’m starting to think there really is something to being kosher.) Gone are the days of succulent racks of lamb and thick, juicy steaks and deep fried zucchini sticks. Good-bye fresh baked breads. Hello avoiding everything with high fructose corn syrup (Try and avoid that stuff and see where it gets you.) Oh well I had a good run. I thought that at least now I would lose some weight. (Nope, sorry, no way Jose) Enjoy and savor every bite and be very happy you're blessed a person who is living to eat. The other side of the moon is a dark, cold and cruel place.
