How sad that she desired a ratty sweater instead of a warm jacket.
You are absolutely right when you say we are the same way many times. Sometimes we dig our feet in and want to stay where we are instead of opening our minds and hearts to God's greater blessing. I think our humanity makes us fear the unknown, but that step of faith when we move on with God may provide greater blessings than we thought possible.
