I understand and respect your viewpoint; I do not agree with it. Events occurring over my lifetime inform me that as the west shrinks ever deeper into its moral cocoon, the world's savages no longer care what we think, but will ever press their advantage against an uncertain, timid empire that is no longer assured of its purpose and which no longer holds itself up with pride. So 'Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!' I no longer think we need to be 'better than that' for to be so, is to be helpless. Rather take the old approach of an eye for an eye - we should fight bombs with bombs and murder with murder. Only then will the relentless attacks on our people cease.
