Quiet? talkative?
Contemplative? outgoing?
I am quiet. I really think an author has to be a listener. A writer must move through the day using all of his/her senses, feelings, and emotions. They need to notice what is overlooked by others. The hidden as well as the obvious. It's part of how a novelist creates characters. As far as contemplative or outgoing goes. I tend to be more contemplative when in the mist of a book and more outgoing when I emerge for the first draft for a break.

I took a test once where I tested right in the middle between extrovert and introvert. I would say I lean in the direction of introvert. Small group of friends. Time alone is precious. Time with friends is too. I think most writers are introverted, but I know at least one who is a extrovert.
