Thank you for your insight and comments on this very real societal problem. Although I an not an alcoholic, nor do I know any, I am concerned about the impact this group has on society, i.e. accidents, especially car accidents that either kill or permanently maim innocent people when alcoholics are behind the wheel.

Sadly, as one who does not accept an erstwhile 'higher power', especially one that offers a 'personal and loving regard', I fit that profile myself.
