"PTSD Is No Respecter of Persons"

Very true, PTSD is no respecter of persons! I have a relative whose humvee ran over a IED near Baghdad, and he suffered a terrible head-injury. I am convinced that the default setting for humans inclines us ALL towards stress disorder. Many people secretly cope using manifold 'coping mechanisms' like entertainment, drug use, self-injury,lashing out. Such is our inheritance from Adam and Eve. For me, the answer proved to be in a daily relationship with Jesus Christ. I was in an extremely high-stress job, that would have crushed me under if not for my daily dependence on Him! Thanks for your very honest and insightful blog,Linda, and your willingness to share your personal story with a hurting world of people. May the Creator of Heaven and Earth use your writings to comfort and put courage into the hearts of many of your readers. I know they do mine.
