There are just too many inhabitants on the poor planet. Evidently the Chinese have been historically the earth's most prolific people sexually--else how did they get that 1.3 to 1.4 billion (minimum) figure as representing their nation's population? It wasn't done by sunning themselves on the Great Wall!!!

There is a wonderful book called "Get in the Ark (finding safety in the coming judgement)", by Steve Farrar who addresses exactly what you have been talking about. In fact, in one of his chapters, "Prosperity: the last chapter before judgement", he talks about the cycles of prosperity nations go through and the sudden downturns when everything collapses and the reasons behind them. It is a very interesting book and was published back in 2000, and is eerily prophetic for what we are going through now. Check it out if you have time.
