I'm glad to hear all the ways you've used for your novel. I've done them also. I found working from the end backwards helpful. I've also watched life and let the intuitive part of me pick out possibilities for scenes or situations. Lately I've seen that I move too fast and must slow down the action. Interestingly, your novel is FAST TRACK. This novel, I must think, doesn't have to stay put in the first environment I put it. I know yours does, but for others who read your blog, they should consider perhaps a more interesting environment, one not often used, could add depth and better possibilities for their novel. I wish you the best, John, with your writing. The writing the novel is such an adventure and often times enjoyable process . . . once, for me, I get beyond the self-conscious aspect.

I loved reading about your process for constructing a novel. The journey is so invigorating. I know I'm on the right track when my focus is pure and the words/ideas flow in so quickly that I feel as though I might spontaneously combust. Each time I begin a project or pick up on one, I sit quietly and ask for my muse to open me up to all possibilities, to see holistically, to create from my highest, most authentic place. I try to embark upon each poem, each painting or drawing in commitment to my highest potential. Upon completion, I always feel such a strong sense of gratitude that I was able to take another step forward within that every-burgeoning potential.
