People who write are inclined to be envious of others talents. I want to be rich and famous. Don't you? But mostly I want to be read. I've spent many, many hours over the last seventeen years writing over one million words (sixteen books). How many agents ignored Rowling? Hang in there lady.

Dyanne... I understand your frustration and confusion on this one... Seems that some (not many) authors/writers feel that slamming the work of a peer will take away from that hard working writer, and in the process...make the ass feel better about him/herself! I noticed this when I got reviews too... seemed that the authors (some from AD who claimed to be friends...duh) did the 2 & 3 star thing...while others who were regular readers always gave the max stars!! I don't expect perfect raves if not deserved; but I do expect sheer decency!! Either way... sorry this happened to you..and Good luck with your book. Thing is...we have to just move forward in a positive way! hugs, lindalaw |
