Excellent piece, Karen. There's politics everywhere you look, even in people who care about animals. My only question is about the high-pressure breeding culture. Could it be that incessantly breeding for fleet-footedness is eliminating bone strength in some individual horses? Just wondering.

Bravo, well said, I was heart sick over her death but I have no doubt she was loved and cherished and treated well. Love, Bonnie
