I'm white too and you are correct. It is a shameful "cultural" phenomenon. I used to say if I were black, I'd at least live in one of the places in our country in which black peoples have some political power [not so much economic, I know] and "backing", places such as Atlanta, Detroit, Philly, and others. Do you think it's a valid belief? Wouldn't a black citizen or family have more "problems" in a such places as out in Idaho or Nebraska where they are few? Of course, they shouldn't have any more problems than any other average citizen, but you know reality is one thing...
I grew up in a racist environment. I saw umpteen thousand cases of injustice. It's a thing I hope I hate today. I try, at least.
