Dearest Connie.. reading this blog, my heart breaks with yours all over again.
We are praying the LORD will intervene and literally resurrect Sugarplum.. just like He did to our nearly 17 yr. old Calico Persian who came to us at 6 weeks, when our daughter rescued her from a man who tried to drown her! She was the runt, and so tiny, she fit into the palm of my hand!
Jade was with me all through my stroke.
I had stayed by her..now she stayed by me.
We cried out to the LORD repeatedly.. But because there was no change, we had finally accepted that it was her time to leave us.. for we also did research with many vets and friends, yourself being one of those valued opinions :0}
Finally, we utterly surrendered her to Father GOD, not our will but Thine.. But we had also asked for prayer... for her.
Jade never moved for days, nor would she eat or drink.. in great agony, we said tearful goodbyes with endless kisses and hugs, thanking her for being such an amazing faithful friend.. After we released her to the LORD, asking for her to pass softly in her sleep, rather than us having to her put down, we went to bed.
I sobbed deep into the night, until I finally cried myself to sleep, like a small child. ABBA keeps our tears in a bottle.. He cares about what hurts us and breaks our hearts...
When I awoke at 6:00 am and started down from the loft, there was Jade sitting on the steps waiting for me, as usual! I fell to my face and praised the LORD, laughing and crying at the same time! Then Joe joined me and we gave the LORD a huge shout!
Jade has been like a KITTEN ever since.. and we now call her "Resurrection Sissy" and she is a living Testimony in our midst! She will be SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD APRIL 29!
What I am trying to say is, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD.
Joe & I are praying and believing for the LORD to resurrect your Sugarplum, too. Defeating a disease is nothing at all - for the Creator of All!
