Hi Robert....
As a San Antonio Rose, a Yellow Rose of Texas, and a Daughter of Texas....I just get sick to my stomach when I hear that ass Perry speak of such lunacy! Bite the hand that feeds you!!! Anyway... People thought Kinky Friedman was "out there"..but he is so down to earth and knows "how it is"...just like Willie and the rest of us.. Anyway...
I loved the cowboy list you gave..not missing anyone that I can recall...and even tho many are not "real" Texans...they became Texans just being cowboys!!

Extremely good article. Well written. I never would have believed that anyone could have named all of those “cowboys.“ I can’t think of one you missed. The governor’s statement was inconceivable twenty years ago, but so was gay marriage, Viagra emails/TV commercials, and shootings in schools. I think it is a small, but strong signal, that the union ain’t so united anymore. Do people who share the same the values have the right to peacefully walk away from those who do not share their values, those who mandate that they discard their values and accept theirs? That depends of course on whether or not they are good values or bad. Which leaves one to ask, who is making the judgment, good honest decent people or those who have no values. In any event, well done Robert.
