The States are certainly getting hit with some mean weather. California is dealing with fires too! I find myself often thinking "with all these natural disasters we battle, isn't that enough?"

Joyce, you know I could almost feel myself sitting with y'all preserving the beans and of course yakking away. Such pleasure on the Kentucky Mountains, despite the little interruptions. Enjoyed the time spent with you and your family........how's the corn field doing?? LOLOLOL!

We had a horrible thunder storm last night til 3:30 a.m. I was scared and could not get to sleep til it was over. Today a friend phoned for me to go to the Hollywood casino near us, and I went and won some money. We had a great time there and now it is raining tonight and lightening again. Hope it clears up but believe it is part of Hurricane down in texas. Hate rainy days. Green beans and corn sound delicious and know you will enjoy them in the winter time. LOL Lois

Glad you're safe; my, what a busy time you've had, and not just with your life! Weather seems to be playing a big role in that department too! Must have been scary to have seen that funnel! Have seen a few myself; scary things--and no freekin' basements here!! CRAZY!!
