few men in modern history possessed the knowledge, compassion and humility of Lincoln -- a man that led one of the most difficult existences an individual could possibly live -- yet steadfastly strove to enrich the lives of all men -- Lincoln has always been to me, the most noteworthy of all of our presidents -- he had the courage to defend the Constitution at a time when is was unpopular by at least half of the American citizenry to do so -- thanks for another great history blog Karen -- peace and love to you my dear friend -- JMW
