I visited Fort Sumter again this June with my wife and granddaughter. My first visit there in more than four decades. I am glad I returned. History is alive in venues such as that. Sumter's role in the American revolution was small but not insignificant. His spirit was pervasive among the militia of the Carolinas. Thanks for sharing this Karen.
