History often overlooks heroes and significant characters, intentionally or unintentionally. I believe it was probably a matter of ineffective communications during that era as much as anything else. Michael Stoner certainly contributed to the exploration and expansion of our nation as much or more than Daniel Boone. But few have ever heard of him. Boone was a better communicator who spoke fluent English while Stoner spoke very poor broken English. Thanks for another informative history lesson Karen. I bid you love and peace my dear friend.
