It's inconceivable that anyone that have experienced war when reaching a position of power will consider declaring/provoking one.
Five and half years in captivity should have teach him from own experience and witnessing other's been tortured, that willingly he would send anyone to be exposed/captured/tortured after knowing what it means.
And as I said to other author here, two circus are in town, you can pick one or stay at home and see reruns of I love Lucy, because after the elections it will be business as usual until the American People use their brains and resort to civil disobedience.

You raise very pertinent questions here, Belle. Nobody can convince me that McCain doesn't suffer from PTSD.

I'm afraid the driving force in this election will be race. That is shameful and tragic but I fear it will be the one factor that puts McCain over the top.

This is a deciding moment in our country's future. Let's all hope "We The People" can overcome the evil of the past 8 years and vote for REAL change.

I don't know if I would come down as hard as you have on PTSD, La Belle. I've worked with many vets over the years who have PTSD, and some of them can control their emotions quite well. But I've also had to drag some of them off into a quiet corner to stop a fight or a brawl or a very nasty situation from escalating. And I truly feel for them.

But I think I can fault Mr. McCain for being taken in, and taken over, by the Bush/Rove boys. He used to be a conservationist, and they've talked him out of it, and he now shouts 'Drill, Baby, Drill' with the rest of them and their Big Oil buddies. And his choice, or actually, their choice, for V.P., is truly abysmal - on environmental issues, she even makes Bush look good - and that is truly hard to do.
