Happy Birthday LaBelle...
Yes, you are a Summer Girl, Spring, Sunshine, Lovely, Beautiful, Funny, Erotic, and everything else in between! Great blog...for many of us!! I just had a b-day a couple wks ago...and decided to tell the truth this year..hehe... 66! and I hate it...but...I understand what you say... I am 50 going on 16 inside..and so many of us are like that.. plus we have so much valuable experience to offer...and a degree or pedigree cannot compare to it! The fact that we have become useless in this society is putting it mildly..but it's their loss...and we do have the numbers to back us up... I'm like you... I love a white haired guy...and bald is great...and...I don't care about age...it's in the heart and the eyes that counts... beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder isn't it? YOU are beautiful LaBelle!

You are no more a Summer Girl? doesn't matter Belle, you are still a firecracker!
Aging, some do it graciously, some do it with botox and very few, the dumb lucky ones like my self, have one of those genes that don't let you to show your age.
Eighty-four and not a wrinkle, salt & pepper hair and all my teeth.
Just for fun I said sometimes 55 and they don't bat a eyelid.
And for testosterones...when he see a cow the old bull still gets crazy!

I agree 1,000 percent - none of us are getting any younger. The aches and pains of life are slowing us down. But dammit!! we're here. We're not going to go away easily.

Used to be, elders were venerated; respected; not now. We dump 'em in a home and forget about 'em ... can't be bothered. Heartbreaking.

Those that forget history are condemned to repeat it - and it starts with our elders!! No wonder our country in such a mess ...

Thanks for the eye opener today, La Belle. I pray your birthday is spectacular!! You deserve it.
