I agree whole heartedly with this statement. If there isn't a connecting there is not a good result from writing.. Thanks for sharing this!

Love the quote and your words of wisdom as well especially the part you said about poetry being such private thoughts. It is true...the best poetry is from the heart of the writer.

It's nearly midnight, just a desk over-light and the PC monitor, around me are the shadows, soft, silent, make me feeling I am surrounded by quiet slaves, with some peering over my shoulders to take a peek of what I write.
They wouldn't approve if what I wrote doesn't touch a heart, a single heart, because if I don't...they will tell me that I am not a poet and cover the lights of the room with their dark disappointment.
